Chevalier de Arts Dr. Mangalmpalli Balamurali Doctor Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna has contributed more than 400 compositions in the filed of Carnatic music. He is also credited with the conception of several new musical scales. Mahati, sumukham, trisakthi, sarvashri, omkari, janasamodini, manorama, rohini, vallabhi, lavangi, pratimadhyamavathi and sushama are some of the ragas created by him --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The above desciption is of a man who is regarded as a colcossus in the world of carnatic music. Weekend snippets

Sunday 27 july... Went to the krishna temple near my home; been seeking god nowadays more than ever before. These forms of artistic expression are what i believe an extract of the expriences that we go through in our years on this planet among the people we live with. All that we have been taught, learnt, seen, read, imbibed from the world around us, come together to create a stream ofthought within us that bursty forth from us taking the form of a work of creative expression, which could be a song, a painting or take the form of the written word. But creativity is not limited to the above mentioned fields itself. I dont know of a single person who isnt creative. Most of us have succumbed to the 9 to 5 schedules that the modern world has imposed on us that we have forgotten where our strengths lie within us. In the wired world we live in, we have come to belive that true talent is defined by being able to decently code and program a gazillio
